I hope you have had happy holidays for Christmas season this year.
One year and eight months has passed already after my retirement of Ibaraki University, School of Agriculture. I enjoyed a retired life.
March 27, 2009 I obtained the Certification that I successfully completed the requirements of the Japanese Teacher's Course of Sendagaya Japanese Institute and mastered the theory and techniques required to teach Japanese. In short, I am a Japanese language teacher to foreigners, now.
Then I take part in "the Lecture on How to promote International Exchange" under the sponsorship of Ibaraki Prefectural Office. I want to teach Japanese to foreigners as a volunteer. In the lecture, I learned that the ability using Japanese of foreigners depended on how to learn it.
I knew that to teach Japanese not using mediation language was best. Foreigners learned by that way are good at Japanese mostly.
The Lecture will be over next February. After that I will try to contact some foreigners in Ibaraki Prefecture.
My wife is in activity. She visited north Italy and Switzerland to sketch scenery by a group excursion this year. She has been learning a painting with colored pencils. Her group sometimes holds an exhibition and she shows her works in it. Therefore, she is very busy, always.
